Ever wanted to design your own Hexbug, now kids can do just that with Vex Robotics. The structure of this simple, flexible product line si the Vex IQ system being used in STEM programs, elementary and middle School robotics competitions around the world. To create the Vex Robotics Ant, young Hexbugs engineers start by assembling the six red wheels and attaching the motors and wheels to the Ants core. Once the base is in place the brain and senses can be connected and the bright red body pieces are attached to give the robot its flair, turning it into Hexbug Ant. To program the robots, kids simply flip a series of switches on the robots brain allowing for quick experimentation with different modes which determines which behaviour makes the most sense for each robot. Each kit teaches kids that Motors receive signals from the brain, spinning into action, kicking the wheels into gear. The brain is the centralized computer that powers them, relaying signals from the remote control and activating the motors and sensors to bring the creature to life. One supplied. Size H4cm.
