The Hexbug Strandbeast XL is 50 percent larger than the original Strandbeast and features mesmerising eight legged walking mechanism that give this complex robot its graceful, smooth walking stride. The control and extension of this mystifying micro robotic creatures intricate legs makes it look more organic than robotic. The Hexbug Strandbeast XL features a radio frequency remote control that allows the user to independently operate each side of the Strandbeasts legs, resulting in full control of forward, backward and turning motions. The two channel remote control operates in three speeds, slow, medium and fast, when moving forward and one speed when in reverse.
