The Makita DC18RD is a two port fast charger that is able to charge two Makita slide style LXT batteries at the same time, as fast as the DC18RC rapid charger charges one battery. The DC18RD can also be used to charge USB devices such as smart phones and tablets via the front facing USB socket.
